Many Southampton fans have been left to slam the display of Moussa Djenepo in their 2-0 loss to Leeds United in the Premier League on Tuesday evening.

In a game played in front of thousands of supporters at St. Mary's Stadium, Ralph Hasenhuttl's team did not really offer them too much, and in the end Marcelo Bielsa's side strolled to victory with goals from Patrick Bamford and Tyler Roberts.

Djenepo did not have the best of games, losing out on six of his duels, as well as failing to record a single shot on target or successful dribble (Sofascore).

The Mali international also lost possession of the ball on five separate occasions, and never really made any impact on the match, recording fewer touches (32) than his own goalkeeper Alex McCarthy (39) (Sofascore).

These Saints slammed his performance on Twitter, with one supporter even going as far as to claim that the 22-year-old is a 'Championship player':

"Need to get rid of all this deadwood in the summer, Championship players like Redmond, McCarthy, Stephens & Djenepo. Just not good enough at this level #SaintsFC"

"Redmond and Djenepo have to be nowhere near the starting line-up next season. Both offer nothing. #saintsfc"

"Not enough from Walcott and Djenepo for me in this half, I think Stephens and Vestergaard have been more creative #SaintsFC"

"Salisu has looked solid up against Raphinha. Djenepo offered very little, Walcott the same but has doubled up with KWP quite well to help against Harrison. We'd probably be ahead if Ings was on the pitch. #saintsfc"

"McCarthy, Redmond, Djenepo and Stephens all played tonight and shouldn't be anywhere near our team, shows how much of an overhaul we need this summer to get us back on track. #SaintsFC #SOULEE"

"@SouthamptonFC can you please tell me how Djenepo and Stephens are professional footballers? Both absolutely shocking. Please get rid of both in the summer!! #saintsfc"
