Southampton: Fans scrutinise Che Adams following Leeds United defeat - Leeds United

Many Southampton fans were critical towards striker Che Adams after his side’s 3-0 defeat to Leeds United on Tuesday night.

The 24-year-old spoke to the club’s official website after the game admitting the Saints did not create a great deal in the second half and added that key decisions went against them during the 90 minutes.

Can you name all ten obscure Saints players? First up, who is this?

Goals from Patrick Bamford, Stuart Dallas and Raphinha extended the winless streak of Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side to eight, despite having more shots than the Whites.

Adams himself was dispossessed four times, had six unsuccessful touches and only had 28 touches of the ball. In the eyes of Whoscored, the Englishman was worth of a match rating of just 5.96.

Should Che Adams be sold?

With this in mind, supporters were not impressed with Adams’ performance at Elland Road with some suggesting that he is not good enough to play for Southampton.

“Sorry but beginning to think he’s not good enough. Think I’ve given him enough time.”

“On a real, all the Twitter accounts are backing Che as one of our best players but I can’t see it. Maybe in the championship, he’ll do bits for us but atm all I’m seeing is relegation.”

“Simply didn’t take clear chances in the first half then ran out of steam and ideas in the second. Adams and Redmond inadequate and the defence all over the place. All in all, tactics, fitness and confidence well below par. It pains to say it but it’s fact.”
