Many Southampton fans are unhappy with comments from Che Adams as the Saints prepare for their match against Leicester City next Friday night.

The Saints face the Foxes as they look to consolidate their place in the Premier League ahead of next season. As it stands, they are nine points clear of 18th-placed Fulham with six games left to play - they even have a game in hand on the Cottagers (Sky Sports) - but they will have hoped to have already been safe at this point in the campaign. The clash against the East Midlands outfit is also a repeat of the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley, which Southampton lost 1-0 last week.

Speaking prior to the match against Leicester, £16.2m-valued Adams (Transfermarkt) has been sharing his thoughts on what the Saints need to do. He said that it is important that Southampton stick together and show what they are capable of producing, commenting: "We need to show everyone what we're capable of and how we started the season so well.

"We did it last year when we went through a rocky spell but we came out on the brighter side so it's about doing that and staying together, because no-one else is going to help us."

These comments infuriated some Saints supporters who feel they have heard such hollow sentiments all too often this season. Adams' comments were shared on the club's official Twitter account, and these fans took to the social media platform to share their thoughts.
