Southampton fans are worried after Ralph Hasenhuttl revealed Kyle Walker-Peters will be missing from the action for a number of weeks due to injury.
As Hasenhuttl admitted during his pre-match press conference prior to the Saints’ clash with Chelsea on Saturday (southampton.co.uk), injuries have been an issue throughout the campaign. The south-coast outfit have had to deal with fitness problems throughout the campaign, and results such as the 9-0 loss against Manchester United illustrate the issues that has caused them.
Now, it has been revealed that right-back Walker-Peters is unavailable this weekend. Having played in 19 Premier League games this season (Transfermarkt), he will no doubt be sorely missed.
Can Southampton cope without Walker-Peters?
The Saints fans were far from happy with the news, and they took to social media platform Twitter to share their thoughts.
Let’s see what the fans had to say about the Walker-Peters injury below
“OK, if we play 9 in goal then we should be OK. We can do that can’t we, just a one off. We’ll keep a couple out on the pitch for good measure.”
“Stupid decision to let him play twice in a week after just coming back from injury. It was inevitable”
“So much pain”
“We are so so done out here. Please just try and keep the score line below 9 nil, I beg you.”
“A few more defeats coming then, our only natural right back and we didn’t sign any cover in January I sense another relegation scrap”
In other news, Southampton fans react to a vide of this former star.
