Southampton: Fans react to contract news
Southampton fans have been reacting to the news that four Academy players have been given new contracts at the club.
Diamond Edwards, Ryan Finnigan, Jeremi Rodriguez and Fedel Ross-Lang have all been given new deals with the Saints until 2023. The quartet, who are all 17 years of age, have been important members of Paul Hardyman’s U18 squad so far this campaign, and Ralph Hasenhuttl will be hoping that they can mature into future members of the first-team.
Some Southampton fans are happy with this news, with them taking the opportunity to congratulate the youngsters. However, others were a little bit disappointed that the update was not about Danny Ings. The striker has just over 18 months left on his current deal, and many want him to commit his long-term future to the club.
