Southampton fans have been reacting to the news that Mike Ashley is reportedly not willing to pay £5m to sign Mario Lemina this summer.

This summer promises to be a busy one at St. Mary's Stadium, and a number of players could be leaving the club.

Angus Gunn has already completed a switch to Norwich City (canaries.co.uk), Danny Ings' future at the club remains uncertain (The Daily Express), while Aston Villa have been heavily linked with James Ward-Prowse (The Guardian).

One player the club and supporters will probably not be unhappy to see the back of is Lemina. Signed from Juventus in 2017, he has made 52 appearances for the Saints (Transfermarkt), but has spent the last two seasons on loan at Galatasaray and Fulham.

Southampton want just £5m for his services but, according to The Daily Mail, Newcastle are unwilling to pay that fee.

The news was shared on Twitter by @SaintsExtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the supporters. They took to the social media platform to share their thoughts.
