# Southampton: Reporter shares Saints stance on Kyle Walker-Peters exit

[Southampton](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/southampton-fc-news/) **will only sell Kyle Walker-Peters for a ‘sizeable fee’, reports talkSPORT’s Alex Crook.**

### The Lowdown: Trio chasing KWP

The right-back has been linked with a move away from St. Mary’s in recent weeks after [reports](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11021977/Southampton-place-40million-price-tag-Kyle-Walker-Peters-fend-Everton.html) have claimed that the Saints would be open to letting him leave should they receive a bid in the region of [£40m](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11021977/Southampton-place-40million-price-tag-Kyle-Walker-Peters-fend-Everton.html).

Several [Premier League](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league-news/) clubs, including the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and predominantly Chelsea, have all been credited with an [interest](https://metro.co.uk/2022/07/10/man-utd-and-arsenal-interested-in-signing-southampton-right-back-kyle-walker-peters-16976037/) in the 25-year-old, with the latter even having [discussed](https://twitter.com/fabrizioromano/status/1554463492752785408?s=21&t=vJ9RJ5ikGbIzRhrdhBPR7Q) a move internally.

However, it sounds as if the south coast outfit aren’t worried about potentially losing their gem this summer.

### The Latest: Southampton ‘relaxed’

Taking to [Twitter](https://twitter.com/alex_crook/status/1554795666005704709?s=21&t=kQKxM7daVPlV1Q-_eJy3_Q), Crook shared Southampton’s stance on Walker-Peters’ transfer latest. He wrote:

“#SaintsFC relaxed about #CFC interest in Kyle Walker-Peters. Would take a very sizeable fee to prise him away.”

### The Verdict: Semmens must stand firm

During his Tottenham pre-match press conference on Thursday, Ralph Hasenhuttl was quick to [shut down](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11081755/Southampton-boss-Ralph-Hasenhuttl-shuts-speculation-linking-Kyle-Walker-Peters-Chelsea.html) any chance of a Walker-Peters exit this window, and it’s understandable that the boss and CEO Martin Semmens will want to do everything possible to keep hold of his highly-rated gem.

Since arriving at Southampton from their Saturday opponents [two](https://www.premierleague.com/news/1751831) years ago, the England international has made [82](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kyle-walker-peters/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/341051) appearances for the club to date, showing just how reliant the Austrian is on him.

Walker-Peters, [hailed](https://twitter.com/buntingfootball/status/1388236500094050308?s=21&t=6abycZEIZORcjvGSKlzNzg) a ‘top class’ player by sports journalist [Josh Bunting](https://twitter.com/Buntingfootball), looks like he will be staying with the Saints, for now at least, and Hasenhuttl will be hoping that none of the big six meet his valuation before September 1.
