Djenepo impressed for the Saints due to his work rate and his willingness to win his battles on the wings and get his side on the front foot.

Per [Fotmob](https://www.fotmob.com/livescores/3411596/lineup/player-match-card/862645/southampton-vs-chelsea), the Mali international won 13 duels, completed three successful dribbles, three ball recoveries and even made two tackles.

**“Great performances from Djenepo and Salisu. Djenepo playing out of position as a RWB had a blinder, and Salisu on his full PL debut looked so calm and composed at the back. Showed he had a turn of pace as well I thought which is something we have missed at the back! [#SaintsFC”](https://twitter.com/hashtag/SaintsFC?src=hashtag_click)**
