# Southampton: Fans want to sign Divock Origi

**Southampton fans want to sign Liverpool’s Divock Origi this summer after the St Mary’s outfit were linked with a move for the Belgium international.**

Saints will be hoping to improve on a disappointing last term that saw them finish 15th in the Premier League table. Their run to the F.A Cup semi-finals, though, will give Ralph Hasenhuttl hope that his side can be more competitive in the league this coming campaign.

The club were hit with a bit of a bombshell when Danny Ings turned down a new four-year contract on the south coast which would have made him the highest-paid player in their history ([Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11700/12349098/danny-ings-turns-down-four-year-southampton-contract-offer-with-12-months-remaining-on-current-deal#:~:text=Angola-,Danny%20Ings%20turns%20down%20four%2Dyear%20Southampton%20contract%20offer%20with,months%20remaining%20on%20current%20deal&text=Danny%20Ings%20has%20turned%20down,the%20offer%20from%20his%20club.)).

As such, they could be on the lookout for a new striker and, [according to 90min.com](https://www.90min.com/posts/liverpool-transfer-news-watford-winger-ismaila-sarr), the Saints are interested in £10.8m-valued Origi ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/divock-origi/marktwertverlauf/spieler/148368)).
