**Southampton fans are delighted with the news that they have completed the signing of Thierry Small from Everton.**

The Saints have eventually gotten very busy in the transfer window as it has progressed, and it is clear they have a transfer policy of signing younger players.

Now, they have brought in another rising prospect, capturing[the signing of Small](https://www.southamptonfc.com/news/2021-08-24/announcement-thierry-small-everton-southampton-transfer), who had made just one senior appearance for the Toffees ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.com/thierry-small/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/746554)).

Although it is unclear exactly how much the south-coast outfit will pay for the left-back, previous reports have suggested the Saints could pay £5m for the 17-year-old ([Hampshire Live](https://www.hampshirelive.news/sport/football/football-news/southampton-everton-transfer-chelsea-example-5809270)).
