[![Brendan Rodgers](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Brendan-Rodgers--500x340.jpg)](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Brendan-Rodgers-.jpg)There is still the odd deal slipping through into the Football Transfer Tavern and Liverpool fans may have signed a world class star of the future.

That is because according to [Daily Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-complete-signing-spanish-under-17-4156208), Liverpool have completed the signing of Spanish Under-17 international Madger Antonio.

The midfielder joins the club from La Liga outfit Villarreal and he will be free to play for the Reds’ Under-18 and Under-21 sides when he gains international clearance.

Antonio, whose family originates from Guinea-Bissau, has already trained with his new academy side following his switch to Merseyside.

He arrives for a nominal fee as his contract with the El Madrigal-based club was up next up summer with the Yellow Submarine fearing he would leave on a free transfer.

This morning he took to Twitter to confirm his delight at moving to Anfield.

Antonio wrote: “So proud to be part of the @LFC club! Now it’s time to keep working hard! Thanks everyone for your messages!”
