# Tottenham Hotspur: Spurs could sell up to three players before signing Milan Skriniar

**According to a report by [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-tottenham-pave-way-for-skriniar-by-selling-three-senior-stars/), Tottenham could sell up to three players as they prepare for an ‘[important bid](https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-tottenham-pave-way-for-skriniar-by-selling-three-senior-stars/)‘ to sign Inter Milan defensive colossus Milan Skriniar, with funds currently unavailable and a trio of senior players now facing the chopping block as a result.**

Skriniar, who was a [mainstay under Antonio Conte](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/milan-skriniar/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/204069/plus/0/saison/2019/wettbewerb/IT1/verein/46) last season for the Nerazzurri, becoming a major part of their challenge to overthrow Serie A monopoly holders Juventus, could now be on his way out of the San Siro as Spurs negotiations continue.

Indeed, as per reliable Sky Sport transfer guru [Fabrizio Romano](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1308515248652144640), both Inter and Tottenham have been in discussion over a deal since last week – but this [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-tottenham-pave-way-for-skriniar-by-selling-three-senior-stars/) update has claimed that Spurs could need to offload a trio of senior names before the club can afford a swoop.

The Italians had valued Skriniar at around [£55m](https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-tottenham-pave-way-for-skriniar-by-selling-three-senior-stars/), but they are now willing to drastically lower their asking price, with Tottenham reportedly preparing a [£30m bid](https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-tottenham-pave-way-for-skriniar-by-selling-three-senior-stars/) after being encouraged that the Nerazzurri will sell for around that fee.

However, after a sensational double swoop for Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon, Spurs will apparently need to offload players in order to afford a bid, with [Danny Rose, Juan Foyth and Serge Aurier](https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-tottenham-pave-way-for-skriniar-by-selling-three-senior-stars/) being the most likely assets to be sold off.

The latter was allegedly close to a [£15m Spartak Moscow move](https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-tottenham-first-teamer-rejects-move-after-levy-puts-big-cash-deal-in-place/) but he eventually rejected a deal as he wants to remain in Europe’s top five leagues.

Whether or not Spurs manage to sell the trio before launching an ‘important bid’ for the ‘[excellent](https://www.football-italia.net/151222/di-canio-skriniar-doesnt-know-what-do)‘ Skriniar remains to be seen, but it may well be an interesting few days ahead.
