# Tottenham Hotspur: Sky Sports journalist confirms Spurs target Arkadiusz Milik wants a new club in January

**Speaking to Italian radio station Radio Punto Nuovo, via [Tuttomercatoweb](https://m.tuttomercatoweb.com/juventus/?action=read&idnet=dHV0dG9qdXZlLmNvbS01MzM0Mjg), Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has confirmed that striker Arkadiusz Milik could leave Napoli, with the reporter saying ‘I know that Milik wants to find a team in January’.**

Echoing these reports, another Italian outlet – [Area Napoli](https://www.areanapoli.it/calciomercato/milik-confessione-ad-amici-e-agente-possibile-tesoretto-per-il-napoli-a-gennaio_393016.html) – has relayed Di Marzio’s update whilst claiming Tottenham’s interest in bringing the forward to north London is ‘still alive’.

### Milik heading for Spurs?

In addition, another potential boost for Spurs supporters is the rumour that Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis would be willing to accept a figure as low as [£6.3m](https://www.areanapoli.it/calciomercato/milik-confessione-ad-amici-e-agente-possibile-tesoretto-per-il-napoli-a-gennaio_393016.html) for the Poland international.

Milik was one of the names on Daniel Levy’s wish list in the summer transfer window, with the Tottenham chairman considering him as a back up to Harry Kane ([Alasdair Gold](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-transfer-rumours/tottenham-hotspur-arkadiusz-milik-talks-set-to-begin-after-spurs-sign-milan-skriniar/)).

Eventually, Spurs opted to bring in Carlos Vinicius on a [season-long loan deal](<https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54395856#:~:text=Tottenham%20Hotspur%20have%20signed%20Brazilian,euros%20(%C2%A340.83m).>) with a £40m option to buy, but these reports now claim Milik may still move to England in January with Spurs keeping a firm watch.

Even though Vinicius and Kane now bolster the striking positions under Jose Mourinho, another option for a potentially meagre seven-figure fee wouldn’t exactly hurt.

### Transfer Tavern take

Amassing[54 caps for his country](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arkadiusz-milik/nationalmannschaft/spieler/191891), Milik is an established attacker with a proven record, having netted [14 goals last season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arkadiusz-milik/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/191891) in all competitions.

His 6 foot 1 frame, and his endorsement from Carlo Ancelotti as [‘sensational](https://www.si.com/soccer/2019/01/21/napoli-boss-carlo-ancelotti-heaps-praise-sensational-arkadiusz-milik-2-1-win-over-lazio)‘, all points to a prolific alternative striking option who fits the Mourinho mould.

Whether or not Levy takes the plunge remains to be seen, but at such a meagre value, there appears to be very little to lose.
