# Tottenham: Further Dusan Vlahovic rumours emerge

**An update on the future of Tottenham target Dusan Vlahovic has been shared by journalist [Alfredo Pedulla](https://www.alfredopedulla.com/lindiscrezione-vlahovic-la-tempistica-il-tottenham-stravede-e-altre-due-strade/).**

### The Lowdown: Serie A links…

Now managed by Antonio Conte, Spurs have already been linked with a number of Serie A players ahead of the January window. The likes of Inter Milan defender [Stefan de Vrij](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-conte-tells-tottenham-to-sign-de-vrij-and-believes-january-deal-can-be-done/) and AC Milan midfielder [Frank Kessie](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/16613802/franck-kessie-tottenham-transfer-antonio-conte/) are just two of those who are thought to be on Tottenham’s radar, alongside Vlahovic.

Spurs have been [linked](https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/transfer-news/tottenham-dusan-vlahovic-transfer-fiorentina-21608096) with the Serbian striker long before Conte’s arrival, and those rumours have stepped up a gear after the Italian made the move to north London.

### The Latest: Pedulla’s claim

A story emerged on [alfredopedulla.com](https://www.alfredopedulla.com/lindiscrezione-vlahovic-la-tempistica-il-tottenham-stravede-e-altre-due-strade/) late on Monday evening regarding Vlahovic’s future, with Fiorentina reportedly wanting between €60m and €70m (£51.35m-£59.9m) for the 21-year-old in the January window.

Conte and Fabio Paratici have spoken over a possible deal for the Serbian, with a transfer not dependent on Harry Kane leaving. The report also namechecks Liverpool and Atletico Madrid with an interest.

### The Verdict: Sign…

[The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/2873605/2021/10/07/tottenham-mailbag-january-transfer-targets-nunos-future-troy-pattotts-progress/) have suggested that Spurs may not move for Vlahovic until the summer, but the fear is that he might have a new club by then with a number of clubs interested.

On that basis, and with Conte’s [preferred system](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/antonio-conte/profil/trainer/3517) utlising two strikers, a January move should be explored for Vlahovic, who has been described as a [‘force of nature’](https://football-italia.net/media-watch-vlahovic-earns-lukaku-haaland-comparisons/) by the Italian media. Otherwise, Spurs run the risk of missing out on a long-term target and living to regret it for years to come.
