**With the disastrous end to the season slowly fading into the back of the minds of the Spurs fans in the Transfer Tavern, rather than etched painfully across their faces, a joyous feeling of optimism has returned.**

With Mauricio Pochettino gearing up to take his dynamic young side into the Champions League, the North London outfit are linked with a plethora of vibrant names from all around the continent.

Now, according to Spanish outlet *[Mundo Deportivo](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20160524/402019078317/el-tottenham-posible-destino-de-sandro.html),* the club are the front runners to seal a mammoth deal for a highly rated Barcelona forward.

They [claim](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20160524/402019078317/el-tottenham-posible-destino-de-sandro.html) that Sandro Ramirez is a target for the Argentine coach, in an effort to draft in attacking reinforcements for the likes of star man Harry Kane.

The 20-year old is free to leave the *Blaugrana* this summer and is also [believed](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20160524/402019078317/el-tottenham-posible-destino-de-sandro.html) to have suitors that include the likes of Swansea, Crystal Palace and Everton.

On paper at least, the Spanish under-21 international fits the bill for the type of player that excels under the tutelage of the former Southampton coach.

Versatile across the front line, the starlet can operate in any number of attacking positions and also provide a palpable goal threat.

It is [understood](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20160524/402019078317/el-tottenham-posible-destino-de-sandro.html) that Spurs have chased Ramirez for up to two transfer markets now, though their chances of finally pulling of a deal have been significantly increased now he is free to leave the Camp Nou.
