# Spurs fans may not enjoy latest transfer line in regards to PL winner

**It would take a special kind of player for the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern to fret about not signing, considering the strength of their starting XI.**

Few would doubt just how strong Spurs’ first eleven is and many of the north London locals propping up our are of the opinion that the club need to strengthen their options from off the bench more than anything.

Still, reports from the [Daily Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/juventus-enter-race-sign-riyad-10612059) have confused our drinkers somewhat. While the local Lilywhites in the bar have their full trust placed in Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy, the [report](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/juventus-enter-race-sign-riyad-10612059) has certainly sparked debate.

They [claim](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/juventus-enter-race-sign-riyad-10612059) those from Hotspur Way have SNUBBED the chance to sign Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez this summer. The Algerian – who proved so majestic during the Foxes’ famous title tilt during the 2015/16 campaign – is [understood](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/05/09/riyad-mahrez-expects-leicester-honour-agreement-let-leave/) to be ready to leave the East Midlands.

While the winger saw his stock drop somewhat last season, it’s hard to argue against his quality and a move away could help revitalise him. However, Spurs are [thought](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/juventus-enter-race-sign-riyad-10612059) to have been put off the idea of moving for the 26-year-old.

Having struggled to break teams down last term, our local Spurs fans can’t quite believe they’d pass up the chance to sign such a wizard this summer.

**Thoughts?**
