**Leicester City may have pipped Tottenham Hotspur to the Premier League title, much to the chagrin of the Spurs fans in the Transfer Tavern.**

However, the North London outfit could yet beat the Foxes to the punch in yet another race between the two.

Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani has been [touted](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/may/10/leicester-city-islam-slimani-sporting-target) as a potential target for the title winning Foxes as they bid to draft in reinforcements for the Champions League next season.

Portuguese outlet *[O Jogo](https://www.ojogo.pt/Futebol/1a_liga/Sporting/interior.aspx?content_id=5176657)* claims the Algerian marksman, who has notched an impressive 27 goals this season, showed signs he would be leaving the capital during the last game of the season.

He [reportedly](https://www.ojogo.pt/Futebol/1a_liga/Sporting/interior.aspx?content_id=5176657) gave indications he could be applauding the Sporting fans for the last time at the final whistle following the 4-0 rout away at Braga.

It is [claimed](https://www.ojogo.pt/Futebol/1a_liga/Sporting/interior.aspx?content_id=5176657) in the report that while La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are also chasing him, the striker would [prefer](https://www.ojogo.pt/Futebol/1a_liga/Sporting/interior.aspx?content_id=5176657) a move to White Hart Lane.

Though Harry Kane is undoubtedly the star man for Spurs, the options in the centre-forward berth after him look a little light.

With an important campaign in the Champions League on the horizon, manager Mauricio Pochettino will surely be looking to add another striker to his cause.

**How much of a coup would Slimani be for either Leicester or Spurs?**
