# Tottenham: Journalist claims ‘offer’ has been made for Garner

**[Tottenham Hotspur](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-hotspur-news/) have made an ‘opening offer’ to sign Manchester United midfielder James Garner this summer, according to journalist Alan Nixon.**

Alan Nixon, writing via his [Patreon](https://www.patreon.com/posts/spurs-want-man-u-70539184), says Spurs have tabled a bid and ‘plan to snatch’ the 21-year-old this summer ahead of fellow suitors Nottingham Forest.

However, it is believed that the bids so far have been below what the Red Devils are willing to accept.
