It is believed that the north Londoners have a ‘new offer’ in the pipeline, specifically a player-plus-cash move including club record signing Tanguy Ndombele.

However, for now, Roma are apparently ‘blocking it’ as they only want money.

### The Verdict: Step up bid?

Given Zaniolo’s quality, and the fact just a few weeks remain of this window, it really is now time to step up the chase and get this done.

As highlighted by [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/84/Archive/Italy-Roma), the 23-year-old stood out as a bright attacking player in the final third – completing more successful take-ons than any Roma player and attracting the most fouls while also creating one chance per match.

Zaniolo’s been called a ‘[prominent](https://www.footitalia.com/sissoko-juventus-should-sign-badiashile/)‘ player by ex-Liverpool star Moussa Sissoko, who hailed his physical prowess, and signing him could be the near-perfect end to what has been a very fruitful transfer window.
