# Spurs ready force through La Liga move after recent contact

**Hugo Lloris’ injury away at Everton rocked the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern no end.**

Though the opening of the campaign barely got off to a flyer for the North London outfit, the insatiable nature of the transfer window has them chomping at the bit.

Good news then, has come following reports from Spain.

According to *Marca* (via [Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/tottenham-accelerate-talks-sign-youngster-last-hours-player-source-confirms/)), Mauricio Pochettino is now ready to accelerate a move for Espanyol ‘keeper Pau Lopez.

Sources close to the 19-year old, who has been included in Spain squads, are [said](https://sportwitness.co.uk/tottenham-accelerate-talks-sign-youngster-last-hours-player-source-confirms/) to have revealed that there has been contact from White Hart Lane over the past few days.

Spurs are [understood](https://sportwitness.co.uk/tottenham-accelerate-talks-sign-youngster-last-hours-player-source-confirms/) to have offered [€2m](https://sportwitness.co.uk/tottenham-accelerate-talks-sign-youngster-last-hours-player-source-confirms/)for the custodian, though the La Liga outfit are thought to value their starlet much closer to his [reported €15m](https://sportwitness.co.uk/tottenham-accelerate-talks-sign-youngster-last-hours-player-source-confirms/) release clause.

Currently, the club are without a realistic third choice goalkeeper, with Michel Vorm [linked](https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/teams/celtic/rumour-mill-celtic-eye-michel-vorm-rangers-slam-cup-final-report-steven-davis-to-celtic-1-4196963) with a move to Celtic.
