# Tottenham: Di Marzio shares big update on stadium talks

**[Tottenham Hotspur](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-hotspur-news/) supporters have been handed a big stadium naming rights update on their club’s talks with Google.**

### The Lowdown: Spurs enter ‘meaningful talks’…

In the past week, Spurs have entered[‘meaningful talks’](https://www.90min.com/posts/tottenham-meaningful-talks-google-stadium-naming-rights) with technological giant Google over a potentially mega-money naming rights agreement.

Chairman Daniel Levy has been chasing a deal since 2019 with Tottenham seeking to make as much profit as possible from their state-of-the-art [£1 billion ground.](https://theathletic.com/3670414/2022/10/10/tottenham-google-real-madrid-gakpo/)

Levy even appointed chief commercial officer Todd Kline to assist in striking an agreement with interested parties as the former NFL executive has a[brilliant track record](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/tottenham-news-todd-kline-chief-commercial-officer-stadium-naming-rights-deal-b919582.html) with the NFL’s Miami Dolphins.

There has been plenty of interest with[reports of Amazon](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-hotspur-news/spurs-stadium-naming-rights-value-could-increase-after-twist/) still being in the running alongside Google.

### The Latest: Di Marzio shares big Spurs stadium update…

Following on from these discussions with Google, Sky Sports reporter Di Marzio has a potentially exciting update.

Writing on[his website,](https://gianlucadimarzio.com/it/tottenham-stadio-nome-google-news-11-ottobre-2022) he says the deal ‘could close soon’ as he also shares an update on [Twitter.](https://twitter.com/DiMarzio/status/1580832627543531522)

Di Marzio states on social media that ‘the stadium could be called Google Stadium’.

### The Verdict: Good news…

After their problems with mounting debt during the COVID-19 pandemic, Spurs may finally be about to reap the rewards of their multi million pound investment in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

If a deal can be done, there is reason to believe the ENIC group could green-light more on-field investment to bolster manager Antonio Conte’s squad – much like they did after Tottenham’s qualification for the Champions League last season.

Indeed, there could be real reason for optimism in light of this new update.
