**As the sour end to the season begins to fade away from memory for the Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern, the stories the rumour mill throws up shine even sweeter.**

With Champions League football on the way, there’s little doubt that manager Mauricio Pochettino will be active in the market over the course of the next few months.

Such is the nature of the finely balanced squad, the fans propping up the bar tonight are waxing lyrical about how new recruits need to be the right sort of talent to fit the mould.

One of those is Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson, who has been linked in recent days.

The 24-year old, on paper at least, is seemingly a natural fit at White Hart Lane due to his energy and dynamism.

Having gotten over a serious injury, the former Coventry City star is [believed](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36318508) to have also attracted the interest of West Ham.

However, according to [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/tottenham-trio-to-be-offered-in-part-exchange-for-wilson/?), Spurs are prepared to offer a sensational player exchange deal in order to lure him to North London.

It is [claimed](https://www.footballinsider247.com/tottenham-trio-to-be-offered-in-part-exchange-for-wilson/?) that those behind the scenes at the Lane are willing to offer one of midfield trio Nabil Bentaleb, Ryan Mason or Tom Carroll in order to sweeten the deal for the Cherries.

England international Mason has been [linked](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/tottenham-transfer-news-bournemouth-to-offer-spurs-6m-for-ryan-mason-a3241606.html) with a move to the South Coast himself, while Bentaleb is [understood](https://www.culturepsg.com/news/mercato/bentaleb-suivi-par-le-psg/9100) to be of interest to French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

**Is Wilson worth the hype?**
