# Tottenham Hotspur: Andrea Belotti and Alexander Sorloth won’t be coming to Spurs, says Fabrizio Romano

**According to an update by reliable [Sky Sports transfer guru Fabrizio Romano](https://twitter.com/fabrizioromano/status/1306524455452147713?s=21), Spurs look set to miss out on both Andrea Belotti and Alexander Sorloth, with the pair previously touted to make a north London move as Daniel Levy searches for striking options.**

As the club complete deals to sign both [Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon](https://twitter.com/fabrizioromano/status/1306626201407062022?s=21), attention is now being turned to their potential sixth summer acquisition, and a back-up option to star striker Harry Kane is starting to look like a necessity.

After releasing Fernando Llorente last summer, chairman Levy has failed to find a suitable replacement; but given Spurs’ notable dealings so far this window, now is looking like a better time than ever.

However, following rumours that both Sorloth and Belotti were being [considered as options](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1z_cpIqNdMo), Romano has now ruled out both men for differing reasons, dealing a potential blow to Spurs in an otherwise glowing last few days.

Norwegian target man Sorloth, who scored a head-turning [24 goals in the Turkish Super Lig](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alexander-sorloth/detaillierteleistungsdaten/spieler/238407) following an otherwise dismal first season at Crystal Palace, looks like he will be heading to RB Leipzig on a permanent deal.

Meanwhile, Belotti has opted to stay in Italy with Torino, with the club captain and [last season’s top scorer](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/torino-fc/leistungsdaten/verein/416/plus/0?reldata=%262019) arguably pivotal to the club’s run in Serie A.

So, where do Tottenham turn their attention now?

The likes of [Habib Diallo and Joshua King](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1z_cpIqNdMo) now appear the likeliest additions if recent reports are anything to go by, with Southampton having [recently rejected](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/sep/17/tottenham-fail-with-approach-to-sign-danny-ings-from-southampton) a Spurs approach for Danny Ings.

Only time will tell which forward Spurs opt to sign, but it could be an exciting end to the window for the north Londoners.

***Tottenham fans, are you disappointed to miss out on the two forwards? Have your say in the comments down below…***
