# Tottenham: Spurs want to sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

**[Tottenham Hotspur](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-hotspur-news/), and sporting director Fabio Paratici by extension, now want to sign Napoli rising star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, according to reports from Italy.**

### The Lowdown: Kvaratskhelia dazzles…

The Georgia international has been making waves in Italy’s top flight this season, [attracting interest](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/manchester-city-transfer-rumours/man-city-readying-khvicha-kvaratskhelia-move-premier-league/) from a host of [Premier League](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league-news/) clubs.

Kvaratskhelia has scored eight goals, with a further eight assists across his Serie A and Champions League [appearances](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/370984/Show/Khvicha-Kvaratskhelia) for Napoli this season, owing to his phenomenal potential.

The 21-year-old is currently the Azzurri’s [best-performing player](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/276/Show/Italy-Napoli) by average match rating, completing [more dribbles per 90](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/276/Show/Italy-Napoli) than any of his team-mates and making a real name for himself with the [runaway](https://www.whoscored.com/Regions/108/Tournaments/5/Italy-Serie-A) Serie A leaders.

### The Latest: Spurs now want Kvaratskhelia…

Headed by club transfer chief Paratici, it is now believed that Spurs really like Kvaratskhelia as the north Londoners eye potential signings for manager Antonio Conte.

[Calciomercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/il-napoli-ha-un-piano-per-tenersi-kvaratskhelia-l-offerta-fatta--69401) claim that Napoli are aware of the ‘threat’ from England over their star winger, with Tottenham mentioned as being big fans of the player alongside Liverpool.

### The Verdict: Exciting talent…

Called [‘unplayable’ and a ‘superstar in the making’](https://twitter.com/carlogarganese/status/1567600363510841347) by sections of the Italian media, Kvaratskhelia’s stock has risen in dramatic fashion, although he will cost a marquee fee.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has reportedly placed a whopping [€100m (£88m) price tag](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/chelsea-liverpool-kvaratskhelia-100m-transfer-fee-napoli-agent/bltcba3a4e5cf2581ac) on the winger’s head to ward off potential suitors.

Chairman Daniel Levy would need to shatter [Tottenham’s current transfer record](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tottenham-hotspur/transferrekorde/verein/148) for the [19-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/khvicha-kvaratskhelia/nationalmannschaft/spieler/502670/verein_id/3669) winger, and this alone could make him unattainable for Spurs in the winter.
