# Stoke City ace destroys Liverpool winger on Twitter

[![Sterling](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/4576870-150x150.jpg)](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/4576870.jpg?admin)Liverpool fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are laughing despite themselves at this brilliant image from Twitter that our landlord has found – and they think Raheem Sterling deserves all the trolling he gets.

The winger is getting a bit of a reputation for being a money grabber after turning down a contract worth more a week than most people make in a year – and it seems it is not only just the fans who are making a joke of the situation  but also his fellow players.

Stoke City player Jonathon Walters made himself a Twitter hero after making a joke about the £100,000 per week contract rejection – and we think for that alone he deserves a pay rise!

Liverpool fans. Have a look at this!
