Many Sunderland fans have been reacting to the news that Jim Rodwell has been hired as Peterborough United's interim chief executive.

Rodwell - who is no relation to former Black Cats midfielder Jack - was Sunderland CEO from April 2020 until last February, when Kyril-Louis Dreyfus completed the takeover of the club from Stewart Donald.

His time at the club was marred by a number of controversies, with him having to make a U-turn and apologise to supporters after it was initially announced that there would be no refunds for those who bought season tickets for the 2020/21 season despite it being played behind closed doors (Chronicle Live).

He also felt compelled to issue a public apology over a delay in refunding supporters for matches which were not played in the 2019/20 campaign, which was cut short due to the pandemic (Chronicle Live).

Despite these incidents, Rodwell has found himself in a new role. On Monday, it was confirmed that he was taking over as interim chief executive at Peterborough United, which unsurprisingly has led to some Sunderland supporters warning Posh fans what they can expect from the 50-year-old.

The news was shared on Peterborough's official Twitter channel and it attracted plenty of attention from Black Cats supporters. These fans took to the social media platform to share their thoughts on Rodwell's appointment at London Road.
