Anthony Patterson has signed a new two-year deal at Sunderland, as reported by the Northern Echo.

Making his first-team breakthrough at the Stadium of Light in 2020/21, the 21-year-old made two senior appearances for the Black Cats in the EFL Trophy [Transfermarkt].

Furthermore, the highly rated stopper has been a major part of the Sunderland Under-23 set up this campaign, participating in 24 Premier League 2 fixtures as he continues his development [Transfermarkt].

His fresh terms have been dubbed as a ‘great opportunity to progress with us’ by Sunderland Sporting Director Kristjaan Speakman [Sunderland Echo].
