# Sunderland: Arbenit Xhemajli offered tour of training ground

**Sunderland have handed transfer target Arbenit Xhemajli the chance to have a tour of the club’s facilities, according to [The Chronicle.](https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/sunderlands-summer-recruitment-salary-cap-18738490)**

Black Cats boss Phil Parkinson will undoubtedly look to bolster his squad this summer after failing to gain promotion to the Championship and finishing a lowly eighth in the League One standings.

Whilst [uncertainty continues to grow around the ownership](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/sunderland-afc-news/sunderland-william-storey-vows-to-spend-50m-on-transfers/) of the Wearside club, transfer links are starting to develop and Xhemajli is the latest name to be linked with a move to the Stadium of Light.

[Chronicle LIVE](https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/sunderland-keeping-tabs-kosovo-international-18703353) reported the Wearside club’s interest last week with the Kosovo international currently without a club following his exit from Neuchatel Xamax.

Xhemajli, who is valued at £765,000 by [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arbenit-xhemajli/profil/spieler/354155), was born in Switzerland but represents the Kosovo national side and his impressions have seemingly left a mark on Sunderland boss Parkinson.

Those impressions have become enough for the Wearside club to show the youngster around the club’s facilities with [The Chronicle](https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/sunderlands-summer-recruitment-salary-cap-18738490) claiming that he has been offered the chance of a flight to England and a tour of the club.

The 22-year-old began his playing career with Swiss side Neuchatel Xamax having spent a number of years through his youth development with Zurich.

Little is known about Xhemajli on these shores, but it seems a potential move to Sunderland is picking up pace.

The youngster will surely be delighted to have the chance to move to England and with Parkinson a keen admirer of his abilities, a move now looks likely if the player himself likes what he sees on Wearside.
