**Fans of Sunderland have been reacting to a post on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/SunderlandAFC/status/1376896336835018754), in which the club confirmed that the Black Cats centre-forward, Charlie Wyke, has won the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award.**

So far this season, Wyke has been in rather remarkable form over his 34 League One appearances for Lee Johnson’s side, bagging [22 goals](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/111787/Show/Charlie-Wyke) and registering [two assists](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/111787/Show/Charlie-Wyke), as well as averaging a [WhoScored match rating of 7.39](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/111787/Show/Charlie-Wyke) – ranking him as the club’s [best performer](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/16/Show/England-Sunderland) in the third tier.
