# Sunderland: Fans react to Lee Johnson interview

**Sunderland manager Lee Johnson appeared to take a slight dig at Arsenal and Tottenham following a [penalty shootout win](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58963259) over Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday.**

And a number of Black Cats supporters were quick to react to the [official club post](https://twitter.com/SunderlandAFC/status/1453109216005214211) as a result.

Sunderland continued their memorable run in this season’s Carabao Cup with a dramatic victory from the spot against the Championship side.

Johnson’s side ran out [3-1](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58963259) winners on penalties, and the boss was asked who he wanted in the quarter-finals in a post-match interview.

He preferred a trip to north London to face either the Gunners or Spurs in order to wait for ‘the really big guns when it’s two legs’ at the semi-final stage.
