Sunderland have agreed a deal for striker Danny Graham to return to the club this summer, according to Football Insider.
Black Cats manager Phil Parkinson has been seeking to bolster his attacking options after failing to gain automatic promotion or even a play-off place last season.
A Sunderland source has told Football Insider that the terms of a one-year deal have now been agreed with Graham and he is set to sign on the dotted line.
Graham will join the likes of Will Grigg and Charlie Wyke among Parkinson’s attacking options and could feature this coming Saturday as the Black Cats begin their League One campaign against Bristol Rovers.
While a deal for Graham looks set to materialise, question marks over such a move may linger in the minds of some Sunderland fans who watched the striker endure a poor spell at the club previously.
A reliable centre-forward is needed this season if the Black Cats are to go up, with Grigg and Wyke managing only nine goals between them last term.
