# Surely Man United should ensure these 2 flops follow Fellaini out if he leaves

**Our Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern will be hoping a few players are shipped out in a summer overhaul of the squad as they look to mount a serious title challenge next season.**

Jose Mourinho must revamp the squad this year, with a plethora of fresh faces coming in over the past four windows the Portuguese has been in charge. The Red Devils are starting to take shape in Mourinho’s mould, and with that, some of the old guards must start to make way in order to move the club forward.

One name that the regulars in the bar thought should have gone a long time ago is Maraoune Fellaini. A marmite player to fans, who looks like he’s [finally on his way out of Old Trafford](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/5903191/manchester-united-ace-marouane-fellaini-wanted-by-monaco-on-free-transfer-when-contract-runs-out-this-summer/) following poor contract talks this season, it won’t exactly cause many tears at the Theatre of Dreams.

The David Moyes signing hasn’t had the best of times at United despite being a favourite of Mourinho’s, that much is for sure. Indeed, the fans don’t share the same enthusiasm as the manager and his exit won’t exactly leave the United faithful in tatters. With a[possible move to Monaco on the horizon](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/5903191/manchester-united-ace-marouane-fellaini-wanted-by-monaco-on-free-transfer-when-contract-runs-out-this-summer/), our landlord takes a look at two other possible flops to follow him…

## Daley Blind

The Dutchman is out injured at present, which may mean his United career is over with Mourinho seemingly settled on a starting eleven in recent times. Blind was a Van Gaal signing and many in the pub remember him being the supposedly saving grace in the midfield when he arrived and possibly the long-term replacement for Micheal Carrick, though he hasn’t kicked on as first hoped.

Indeed, he has been seen as more of a utility man in and around the back four rather than a ball playing midfielder.

## Matteo Darmian

The Italian full-back hasn’t exactly set Old Trafford alight since his move to the Red Devils under former manager Louis Van Gaal. Darmian has seen his playtime dramatically reduced over the seasons and, the obvious choice left for him is to leave in order to find regular first-team action.

United need to bring a right-sided fullback in to start the replacement process of Antonio Valencia, as the quality right-back is only a season or so from age catching up with him.
