# Swansea City: Fans have new hero at the Liberty Stadium after Ben Wilmot’s full debut

**Many Swansea fans have lauded a new hero at the Liberty Stadium after Ben Wilmot scored the winner in the South Wales derby.**

The Watford loanee started his first league game for Steve Cooper’s side, after Wales international Joe Rodon was sidelined for at least two months due to a tendon injury, which will require surgery, according to the [BBC](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50201909).
