# Sheffield Wednesday: Fans react to transfer update on Dion Sanderson

**Sheffield Wednesday are reportedly still keen on bringing more players to the club in this transfer window, and this has seen them linked with Wolves defender Dion Sanderson, who was [on loan](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dion-sanderson/profil/spieler/495993) at Cardiff City last season.**

According to journalist [Dom Howson](https://twitter.com/domhowson/status/1309081906676461577?s=20), the Owls are still keeping close tabs on Sanderson, who is in the final year of his Wolves contract.

The player was a solid asset for the Wales-based side as he averaged 1.2 tackles, 1.4 interceptions and 2.1 clearances per game, via [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/384128/Show/Dion-Sanderson), in 10 Championship appearances last season; and at the tender age of 20, he is showing that he has the potential to grow into a quality centre-back.

He is [yet to play for Wolves this season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dion-sanderson/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/495993), and with him into the final year of his contract, that could see Sheffield Wednesday get a very good deal for the player if they want him sooner rather than later.
