LEEDS UNITED’S POTENTIAL TEAM VS STOKE CITY
We’ve gone with a 4-2-3-1 formation, as that is the formation that Leeds made great use of towards the start of the last campaign. The Whites like to get the ball to the feet of their dangerous attacking three that slot in behind the striker, with the two central midfielders distributing the ball and helping the defence out.

The Whites will be hoping that Bailey Peacock-Farrell can reach the heights of the last campaign after enjoying his breakthrough season at Elland Road.
In defence, Pontus Jansson should be one of the first names on the teamsheet after enjoying a successful time of things over in Russia at the World Cup. The Swede will partner club captain Liam Cooper at the heart of the defence, with summer signing Barry Douglas and Luke Ayling looking to get forward and support the attack.
Kalvin Phillips and loan signing Lewis Baker will operate in the middle of the park, with the latter hoping to enjoy a run in the side after joining from Premier League side Chelsea.
Most of Leeds’ positives last season came from Samuel Saiz, Pablo Hernandez and Ezgjan Alioski, so there’s no reason as to why Bielsa wouldn’t line up with these three in attack.
Lastly, supporters will be heavily reliant on Patrick Bamford over the course of the new campaign, with a dream debut on the cards if he can rediscover his form from recent years.
