# Tottenham Hotspur: Inter Milan ready to resume talks over Tanguy Ndombele with Spurs after Europa League

**Tanguy Ndombele’s future at Tottenham Hotspur has come under intense scrutiny after [reports](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league/tottenham/tottenham-hotspur-tanguy-ndombele-continues-to-divide-opinion-at-spurs-and-there-is-only-one-way-out/) of a bust-up with Spurs boss Jose Mourinho emerged in recent months.**

The 23-year-old has endured a difficult first season at Tottenham after his [club-record](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-transfer-rumours/tottenham-tanguy-ndombele-inter-milan-transfer-deal-latest/) arrival from Lyon last year.

Recent reports [revealed](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-transfer-rumours/tottenham-tanguy-ndombele-inter-milan-transfer-deal-latest/) that Spurs are in negotiations to sell Ndombele to Inter Milan this summer. However, Daniel Levy has [insisted](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-transfer-rumours/tanguy-ndombele-tottenham-inter-milan-transfer-latest-not-for-sale/) that the [six-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tanguy-ndombele/profil/spieler/450936) France international is not for sale despite falling out of favour with [Mourinho](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-transfer-rumours/tanguy-ndombele-tottenham-inter-milan-transfer-latest-not-for-sale/).

Also, Inter Milan are interested in other Premier League targets such as Manchester United duo [Chris Smalling](https://thebusbybabe.sbnation.com/2020/8/11/21363510/inter-milan-interested-in-manchester-united-defender-chris-smalling-transfer-rumor) and [Jesse Lingard](https://sempreinter.com/2020/07/18/inter-ac-milan-both-interested-in-signing-man-utds-lingard/) as Antonio Conte seeks to make several changes to his squad.

However, Fabrizio Romano suggested that there will be further updates following the conclusion of the Europa League campaign.

According to the Italian transfer expert (via [@TheSpursExpress](https://twitter.com/TheSpursExpress/status/1293898148470022144)), the Serie A giants are ready to resume talks with Spurs to sort out a deal for the Frenchman in the summer. It is [understood](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-transfer-rumours/tottenham-tanguy-ndombele-inter-milan-transfer-deal-latest/) that the Lilywhites will let Ndombele leave north London as long as a club meets their valuation.

The Spurs chairman has [reportedly](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-transfer-rumours/tottenham-tanguy-ndombele-inter-milan-transfer-deal-latest/) slapped a £63m price tag on his head. However, Inter are yet to submit a formal bid, and Paris Saint-Germain are not [prepared](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-transfer-rumours/tottenham-tanguy-ndombele-inter-milan-transfer-deal-latest/) to spend such a significant sum of money.

Ndombele scored two goals and supplied two assists in his first full season in the [Premier League](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/321389/Show/Tanguy-Ndombele) but his time in the top flight has been blighted by [injury](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tanguy-ndombele/verletzungen/spieler/450936) and [fitness problems](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-transfer-rumours/tanguy-ndombele-tottenham-inter-milan-transfer-latest-not-for-sale/), as well as a change in [management](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-transfer-rumours/tanguy-ndombele-tottenham-inter-milan-transfer-latest-not-for-sale/), which could be enough to unsettle anyone.

He may be able to turn his career around should he given the chance to do so, but it is up to Mourinho to get the best out of a player who was once described as one of [Europe’s best prospects](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-transfer-rumours/tanguy-ndombele-tottenham-inter-milan-transfer-latest-not-for-sale/).

The summer transfer window is set to close at [11pm](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11675/12039513/inter-milan-want-tanguy-ndombele-but-tottenham-not-interested-in-selling-midfielder) on October 5, so Inter still have plenty of time left to strike a deal with Levy.
