# Tottenham Hotspur: Spurs insist Tanguy Ndombele is not for sale despite interest from Inter Milan

**Tanguy Ndombele’s future at Tottenham Hotspur has taken another twist, as Spurs** **insist that he is not for sale despite interest from [Inter Milan](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-transfer-rumours/tottenham-tanguy-ndombele-inter-milan-transfer-deal-latest/).**

That’s according to [The Athletic’s](https://theathletic.co.uk/1988558/2020/08/12/tottenham-questions-foyth-ndombele-aarons-sessegnon/) Charlie Eccleshare, as per [@TheSpursExpress](https://twitter.com/TheSpursExpress/status/1293512317225885696), who claims that the 23-year-old will not be leaving north London this summer.

Rarely a day goes by without the [six-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tanguy-ndombele/profil/spieler/450936) French international being linked with a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as he has attracted attention from [Inter, Barcelona and Bayern Munich](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/tottenham-news-tanguy-ndombele-transfer-inter-milan-a9647441.html), among others.

The young Frenchman has endured a difficult time in the [Premier League](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-transfer-rumours/tottenham-tanguy-ndombele-inter-milan-transfer-deal-latest/) after arriving for a club record [£55m](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/jun/30/spurs-shatter-club-record-lyon-tanguy-ndombele#:~:text=Tottenham%20are%20on%20the%20verge,%E2%82%AC10m%20in%20add-ons.) fee from Lyon last year. Ndombele made just [17 starts](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/321389/Show/Tanguy-Ndombele) for Spurs last season in all competitions, so it’s perhaps hardly surprising that he wants to leave north London.

However, it is understood that Daniel Levy is not prepared to sell a player in whom he has invested so much money, as the chairman is convinced he will eventually come good. Levy has even gone so far as to slap a [£63m](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-transfer-rumours/tottenham-tanguy-ndombele-inter-milan-transfer-deal-latest/) asking price on his head to ward off any potential suitors.

The 23-year-old scored two goals and supplied two assists in the [top flight](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/321389/Show/Tanguy-Ndombele) last term and hardly featured at all after the restart, making just [two appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tanguy-ndombele/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/450936/plus/0?saison=2019&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=) off the bench, before suffering a [knee injury](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-hotspur-news/tottenham-tanguy-ndombele-knee-injury-blow-ruled-out/) that ruled him out for the remainder of the campaign.

Ndombele has shown flashes of brilliance in the [Champions League](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/321389/Show/Tanguy-Ndombele) so Spurs should stay patient as they may reap the rewards later on in his career. Time is still on his side but Mourinho must get the best out of a player who was once considered one of [Europe’s hottest prospects](https://www.squawka.com/en/tanguy-ndombele-lyon-pick-spurs-man-city-real-madrid/).

However, Ndombele also has areas he needs to address, as he must fix his [fitness issues](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/tottenham-news-tanguy-ndombele-transfer-inter-milan-a9647441.html) sooner rather than later. He has all the attributes to be a [major asset](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/tottenham-news-tanguy-ndombele-transfer-inter-milan-a9647441.html) for Mourinho’s side, although he now needs to show that he remains committed to the cause.
