# Everton: Fans fume over team news involving Dominic Calvert-Lewin

**Many Everton fans have been left fuming as some early team news has emerged ahead of their game against Arsenal in the Premier League on Monday.**

Speaking in his [pre-game press conference](https://twitter.com/Everton/status/1466765374444158980) ahead of the match against the Gunners, Rafael Benitez has now revealed that Dominic Calvert-Lewin is ‘still a couple of weeks’ away minimum from recovering from his injury setback, having not played since [August](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dominic-calvert-lewin/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/306024/plus/0?saison=2021&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=).

The striker scored three goals in the first three games of the season prior to the injury ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dominic-calvert-lewin/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/306024/plus/0?saison=2021&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=)), and the Toffees have clearly missed him, having now gone [eight](https://www.evertonfc.com/results) matches in the Premier League without a win after their 4-1 drubbing at home by Liverpool in midweek.

Considering such dreadful form, the last thing that Everton supporters wanted to hear was that they will be without the 24-year-old marksman throughout the pre-Christmas period.
