# Everton: Fans ecstatic as James Rodriguez set to be fit for Blades clash

**Many Everton fans have been revelling in delight as some early team news emerged ahead of their clash against Sheffield United in the Premier League tonight.**

As per the Toffees’ [official website](https://www.evertonfc.com/news/2142182/everton-boss-ancelotti-gives-james-injury-update), Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that James Rodriguez is set to be fit and available to play against the Blades at Goodison Park.

The former Real Madrid star would likely add that extra bit of creativity needed against what could be a stubborn defence, and his six goals and nine assists in 25 games over all competitions so far this season ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/james-rodriguez/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/88103/plus/0?saison=2020&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=)) shows how important he has been to the team.

Based on those figures, will no doubt be a welcome boost for the Toffees if the Colombia international is on the pitch tonight.
