Ruben Loftus-Cheek has largely struggled with injuries throughout the campaign and even though he’s been recovering well despite some evident setbacks along the way, getting straight into the England squad so soon would probably be a task too big for him.
This postponement might, however, do him a world of good on the road towards finding his best form.
