Despite being a promoted side, Fulham have played some great football and although they currently sit 15th in the league, the Cottagers are in good shape.

After a brilliant promotion campaign which saw Fulham beat Aston Villa at Wembley, Salvisa Jokanovic was strongly backed in the transfer market as the club brought in 12 players to help the manager keep the club in the Premier League.

Among those recruits were Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri, the permanent deal of Aleksandar Mitrovic, and Andre Zambo Anguissa. Seri, especially as started to be a prominent player for the team and looks as though he could be a good signing for the club.

The recruitment drive at the club hasn't finished there apparently as according to The Sun, Fulham are scouting another Ligue 1 star, this time, Lyon striker, Maxwel Cornet.

The Breakdown

According to the report, Fulham are weighing up a £18 million for the forward they tracked over the summer. A product of the Metz academy, Cornet joined Lyon in 2015 and has become a key player for the French side although his goal return isn't exactly fantastic.

Quick, skilful and direct, Cornet's game is ideally suited to the Premier League and could well thrive in Fulham's possession-based style of football. Despite bringing in Andre Schurrle on loan over the summer, Fulham don't have a wealth of options on the flanks.

While Cornet may not be an outstanding player, the potential is still there and he could well be sold for a large fee in the future.
