Arsenal go into their game against Southampton today looking to continue their unbeaten streak.
Not many would’ve thought that Arsenal would be on a 22-game unbeaten streak in mid December but thanks to Unai Emery’s new style of coaching, Arsenal have begun to look like a much more different team.
Under Emery, the Gunners have become a much more aggressive and dynamic side. They press from the front in a much more coordinated manner while also being much more solid at the back although there is room for improvement.
Unfortunately for Emery, he’s been hit with a recent raft of injuries lately. Rob Holding is out for the season while Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil have both missed time out due to injuries.
In what will come as great news for Emery, he confirmed that both Ozil and Ramsey should be available for tomorrow’s game.
Ozil played in midweek against Qarabag. The former Germany international had missed the last few weeks due to apparent back spasms.
He’s had a somewhat odd season for Arsenal this year as he’s at times been out of favour with Emery but also showed some of his best form in an Arsenal shirt for the Spaniard.
Ramsey too looked as though his time at the club was coming to an end but after a few impressive performances, the Welshman seems to be back in the club’s plans.
It remains to be seen whether either of the two will start on Sunday but to have them back is a big boost.
