Arsenal's season looks like it's beginning to hit some form as the Gunners have got over their two opening league losses to now string together a run of form that has seen them win their last four games in the league.

The Gunners face Brentford tonight in their third-round Carabao Cup match and Unai Emery is expected to ring the changes for tonight's game. The Spaniard will more than likely bring in Bernd Leno in goal while going forward he'll probably make a raft of changes.

In defence, the Gunners already have five injuries and will probably have to rely on Rob Holding and Shkodran Mustafi at the back. According to the Mirror, Arsenal youngster, Emile Smith Rowe is set to make his first start for the Gunners tonight.

The Breakdown

Smith Rowe came to the attention of the Arsenal fans after impressing in pre-season and notably, the Arsenal academy graduate scored a brilliant goal against Atletico Madrid and his ability to not only play on the wings but also as an attacking midfielder could be key for the Gunners.

Last week, Emery handed the youngster 20 minutes against Vorskla as he replaced fellow academy graduate Alex Iwobi. With a heavy Europa League fixture up ahead and with both the EFL Cup and FA Cup's, the youngster could well find himself starting a few more games this season.

While EFL Cup games may not be the most interesting games, with a talent like Smith Rowe on show, it gives an indication as to Emery's future plans with the team.
