With Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk at the back for Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp now has a defence that can bring a Premier League title to Anfield.

The two commanding defenders have been superb this season and have so far only conceded five goals this season amid their unbeaten start to the Premier League season.

With Joe Gomez at the back, Liverpool now have a defender that can be a mainstay of the side for years to come. What Klopp needs is depth at the back and according to reports, Liverpool are tracking Middlesbrough's star defender, Dael fry.

Fry came through the club's youth academy and has impressed in the first-team under the tutelage of Tony Pulis.

The Breakdown

After selling Ben Gibson in the summer, Fry has stepped into the side and filled the shoes of the now Burnley man and has played 11 games in the Championship.

This year, he's also played at right-back and has shown that he's incredibly comfortable with the ball at his feet.

At just 21, he has tonnes of potential and could prove to be a welcome addition to a side chasing the league title.

Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren have never proven to be reliable long-term options at the club, and as it stands a move for Fry, who's only valued at £1.8 million, might just prove to be a shrewd piece of business by Klopp.

If they can bring in the young defender, Klopp can finally kiss goodbye to the error-prone Lovren.
