Under Marco Silva, Everton finally have the man they've wanted but so far this season they haven't quite got going and as it stands, the club remains in a figurative second gear.

Summer signing Richarlison has been one of the few players to have started the season well and has scored four goals in six games in the league. Likewise, Gylfi Sigurdsson is starting to become a key man for the side but with Farhad Moshiri's money, there's still room for improvement at the club.

According to The Sun, Everton have joined the race for Arsenal midfielder, Aaron Ramsey who's contract runs out at the end of the season.

The Breakdown

In what came as a huge development for the Gunners, Arsenal withdrew their contract offer for the Wales international after the two sides had reportedly come to an agreement.

While he may split opinion at Arsenal, the Welsh midfielder was a steady performer for the club last season amid a year where the Gunners were on the whole, completely terrible throughout the season.

The midfielder has the nearing extinct quality of being able to score goals from midfield and provides plenty of energy going forward. Although Everton had a huge summer where they spent heavily, Ramsey would be a great addition to Silva's squad.

At the moment, Everton have Idrissa Gueye, Tom Davies, Morgan Schneiderlin and Andre Gomes to call on in midfield but Ramsey might just be the best of the lot.

So Everton fans, what do you think?
