Thanks to two goals in five minutes in the second-half, West Ham came away with three points today to push them to 10th in the table.
The win makes it three in a row for West Ham following their loss to Man City. Manuel Pellegrini’s side had a tough start to the season and have struggled to put together a solid run of form lately.
Star striker Marko Arnautovic has been superb for the Hammers this season and has scored five goals in the league and is now becoming one of the best players outside of the top six. It’s unsure whether the Austrian will remain at the club in January following the recent rumours although due to his recent injury, West Ham might be able to keep hold of him until the summer.
While his future at the club may be coming to a near end, West Ham have a new hero in the form of summer signing and Felipe Anderson. The forward scored yet again today as his superb goal helped the Hammers seal the victory.
The Brazilian was the star of the show and has now taken his goal tally to six this year and has scored five in five.
The club record signing didn’t have a dazzling career in Italy but is quickly becoming one of the better players in the league. The quicker and more stretched style of play in England seems to fit his game and if he continues this run of form, West Ham have a player that could take over from the Austrian as the best player in the side.
