As it became well known over the summer, Liverpool missed out on Lyon's star man, Nabil Fekir after pursuing the attacker for most of the summer.

Due to missing out on Fekir, Liverpool went for the cut-price option in Xherdan Shaqiri who has performed well so far this season. He has been a solid contributor to the club's unbeaten run in the league this season but with Liverpool looking to compete in Europe and in the league, Jurgen Klopp may well dip into the transfer market to add some valuable recruits to his side.

According to the Mirror, Liverpool are considering a £15 million move for Brighton star, Pascal Gross.

The Breakdown

The Brighton man turned into a star player for the club last season and was involved in 15 goals for the club in the Premier League. This year, he has struggled with an ankle injury and has therefore only played seven games for the south coast club.

Due to his superb performances for the club last year, he was voted as the 'Player of the Year' following his brilliant season following his £3 million move.

While he won't start for the club, Gross would be a clever piece of business from the club. With Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah dropping into the number 10 position this season, Gross would add some crucial depth in the position and could prove to be a valuable signing over the course of the season.

Gross is a clever player and could well be a good addition to come off the bench.
