Liverpool cruised to victory at the weekend as they dispatched a Fulham side that is severely struggling for form and has one of the worst defences in the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp’s side dominated the game from the off and finished the match with 21 shots and 73% possession and really should’ve won by more than two goals on Sunday.
As we all know, Liverpool’s front three is devastating but what has been impressive this year, is how well the defence has played and so far they’ve only conceded five goals this season, joint best with Man City.
In the middle of defence, it looks as though Klopp has a centreback pair that could be in the side for the long-term and also has two of the best young fullbacks in the league in Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson.
According to The Sun, Andrew Robertson is set to sign a new long-term deal with Liverpool.
The Scotland skipper is set to sign a five-year contract with the club and will apparently double his wages at Liverpool.
When Robertson was signed from Hull, not many would’ve expected him to play as well as he has done over the last 12 months. The 24-year-old has been a superb addition to the squad and has quickly established himself as one of the better fullbacks in the league.
He’s improving defensively but is already one of the best attacking fullbacks in the league and has fitted in perfectly in Klopp’s side.
