It's been an up and down season for West Ham this year. Despite making some superb signings over the summer and bringing in Premier League winner, Manuel Pellegrini, the Hammers currently find themselves 13th in the table.

Club record signing, Felipe Anderson has fitted in seamlessly to the Premier League and has scored five goals in 14 appearances in the league this season. Continuing the forward theme, Marko Arnautovic has also scored five goals this season and has become Pellegrini's star man.

Outside of those two players, West Ham have struggled for goals this season although Chicharito did score two against Newcastle. With that in mind, Pellegrini could well do with some January reinforcements and according to The Sun, West Ham have joined the race for Blackburn's star man, Bradley Dack.

The Breakdown

Dack joined Blackburn from League One side Gillingham last year and was an instant star in the league as he scored 18 goals in 42 appearances for the club while also creating a further nine.

Impressively, Dack has continued that form into the Championship and has been in involved in 12 goals in 17 games for Rovers and has become one of the best players in the league this season.

Dack mostly operates as the attacking midfielder in behind the main striker, Danny Graham. He may not play that position for West Ham but in Pellegrini's 4-3-3 or even recent 4-1-4-1 formation, Dack would fit the role of one of the more advanced midfielders incredibly well and West Ham should look to sign the midfielder in January.
