After a tough start to the season which saw Arsenal lose to Chelsea and Manchester City, the Gunners have finally put some form together and have won their last five games. 

However, with five new players joining the club over the summer and a new manager arriving at the club after over two decades of Arsene Wenger, it was always going to take some time for the club to adapt.

In an interview with the Islington Gazette, Petr Cech admitted that the team lacked the ability to win ugly at times and that Wenger put Arsenal's style of play ahead of trying to win games.

The Breakdown

Following a period of incredible success during the early part of his Arsenal career, when Arsenal made the move to the Emirates and with the departure of the Invincibles, it took Wenger eight years to win a trophy. With little funding and the wealth of Man City, Chelsea and Man U, Arsenal could never compete, especially when combined with Wenger's inability to build a strong defence.

Despite winning the FA Cup in 2014, Arsenal consistently missed out on the Premier League and could never get past the first knockout stage of the Champions League. Quite often, the Gunners would get easily opened up at the back and it seems that this season, Arsenal's defensive struggles will continue. Following, Cech's revelations it seems Arsenal may have a manager that wants to chance the culture at the club.
